Setelah lebih dua dekad melakari kegemilangan, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak meneruskan tradisi kecemerlangan dengan penubuhan sebuah Pusat Islam di kampus baharu, di Kota Samarahan. Dibina di kawasan seluas tujuh ekar, Pusat Islam Tun Abang Salahuddin menjadi satu lagi mercu tanda dan struktur ikonik yang bakal menjadi sebuah hub pembangunan rohaniah warga kampus dan penduduk setempat.
